The CAIS Student Leadership Conference is a five-day conference with delegates attending from independent schools across Canada. We had the opportunity to go to West Island College in Calgary, to attend this conference. We participated in activities that ranged from workshops on stress management to yoga class and to the Amazing Race in Banff. We had the privilege of listening to amazing speakers who shared their stories and encouraged us to seek our own summits, the theme of the week. One of our favorite speakers was Olympic speed skater, Catriona Le May Doan, who shared with us the importance of perseverance and overcoming failure.
