Sacred Heart students participated in another successful Provincial Impromptus this past weekend.
Seniors
Our senior high debaters took 7 of the top 11 spots —

Sacred Heart and Fountain have qualified to send 3 of the 6 Nova Scotian teams to the Oxford Cup:
Sacred Heart “A”, Sacred Heart “B” and the Fountain “A” team have all qualified.
A team from Dr Gillis in Antigonish, a team from Cobequid in Truro and Ecole du Carrefour in Dartmouth also earned spots. The same teams have qualified for the Senior High Nationals in April.
Juniors
Our juniors took 3 of the top 7 spots:

This event does not select junior high students for another event — those selections are done later in the year.
The next event for our debaters is the annual McGill University Tournament, which attracts about 200 high school students and is the largest debating tournament in Canada. We look forward to participating in that debate at the end of October.
