Mr. Brian Casey, our Sacred Heart debate coach, reported on the Hart House Debating Tournament.
"Sacred Heart had a great Hart House tournament--again. Rory Flynn placed 1st individually; this is the fifth year in a row a Sacred Heart student has won the largest Ontario high school debating tournament. (Three different students). Rory also placed first as a team, debating with Alex Wu. The Halifax Grammar team also made it to the final round and debated extremely well.
In other individual results, Emma McLean was 24 points (out of 500) out of 10th place; Minahil Nadeem was 26 points out of 10th place; Madeleine Peet was 19th in the junior category."
