Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards!

Ms. Jennifer Wright, Principal of the Girls' High School announced that "October 21st brought recognition to three of our students at Government House.  Anya Friesen, Genevieve LeBlanc, and Grace LeBlanc were awarded Silver Duke of Edinburgh certificates, by the Honourable J.J. Grant, CMM, ONS, CD (Ret’d) Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia.  The certificate is awarded after a minimum of six months of work dedicated to service, physical activity and leadership skill building including a three day outdoor adventure. To achieve at this level, students must make a significant commitment to engage in a greater journey of personal discovery that attests to character. Congratulations, Anya, Genevieve and Grace on this accomplishment!"
