Grade 6 Students take part in Smudge Ceremony

The students of grade 6 took part in a Smudge Ceremony presided by Joan Smith today.  This was part of our Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq unit.  The ceremony, which is a custom of Native American and other indigenous cultures, helps us to pray for anyone or anything that needs spiritual healing.
