Grade 9 Celebration!

Our Grade 9 students celebrated the end of the year with a dance at the Atlantica Hotel on Friday night.  They are getting ready to move into senior high!  Photos were taken at the Brewery Market prior to going to Atlantica.

Thank you for the pictures, Mrs. DiQuinzio!

Exchange Opportunities!

Rachel Field class of '15 sent Mme Riley this photo from Paris recently. On her shoulders is Lucie Cortier, her Gr. 11 exchange sister from Nantes, France. They met up in Paris last month and visited Sacré Coeur together in Montmartre. Rachel is now in Barcelona visiting Maite Llorente, an International student and Sacred Heart alum who was in Gr. 10 with Rachel in 2013. Such deep friendships come from these Sacred Heart connections!

There are several Sacred Heart students from around the world who would love to come to our school on exchange for 2-6 weeks. We are looking for host families and soon we fear we will have to say "no" to some of these girls if no host families come forward. Right now we have girls from Colombia who would like to come in the fall, girls from France in the fall or winter, girls from Mexico who would like to come in the winter and girls from Spain and Germany.
Please let Mme Riley know if you are interested in being a host family. We would like to give these girls a response by the end of school so that, if needed, they can make other exchange plans.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to email Mme Riley directly at criley@shsh.ca
Thank you for opening your home and hearts to these girls.
Mme Riley

Volunteer Recogntion Reception

Sacred Heart held a volunteer recognition reception this past week to thank many volunteers who help make up our community.  We could not do what we do, without the time and expertise of so many parents, alumnae, past staff, past parents and friends of the school.  Just some of the ways, volunteers give to the school:  Parents' Guild, Board committees, musicals and drama productions (costumes, set design and production, band), debating, Bursary Dinner Committee, outings, lunch duty and many, many other activities!

WITH MUCH GRATITUDE, THANK YOU!
