On Wednesday, April 23rd Hannah Bekkers, Laura Bullock, Anya Friesen, Claire Reardon, Caroline Surrette, Ely Gordon, Ted Bursey and Mark Biddulph accompanied by Ms. Shauna Wall and Ms. MacDonald, flew to Vancouver to attend the CAIS Student Leadership Conference "Connect the Dots: People, Places, Purpose". This sold-out conference gathers students from 30 other independent schools across the country and they are having three full days of leadership workshops, service and social activities. The conference is taking place at St. George's School which has a Sacred Heart connection; the building that now houses its junior school once belonged to the Religious of the Sacred Heart and we had a school there until 1978.
Mark Biddulph asks a great question to the panel of young Canadian political figures about the seemingly "black and white" nature of politics. CAIS Leadership Conference is awesome!
