Since early September, Aristides Milios and Alex Gillis, students at Fountain Academy of the Sacred Heart, have been participating in the Launch 36 accelerator program.
Now, they are working towards their launch date of November 13 with their team of four.
On November 12, they will be demonstrating Bitness at DemoCamp Halifax (democamphalifax.com), an event hosted at Dalhousie University which showcases ten of the newest startups in the region and allows them five minutes to demo their product and then receive questions from the group of attendees (around 350 people). Mr. Marchand, Principal of Fountain Academy, will be attending this event!
November 13 marks the end of the Launch 36 program. A total of 20 companies participated in this group, cohort #5. As a finale to the program, there will be a "Launch 36 Demo Day" on November 13 in Fredericton to present their progress made throughout the program. On Monday, October 27th, they made a pitch presentation to a panel of mentors/judges who determine which 6 out of the 20 companies will be able to take the grand stage and do a pitch to the audience of investors. They have not yet heard how they did, but they hope to have the opportunity to present onstage.
