It was a very exciting day today for grades 4 to 6 as it was Prize Day,
the last day of school!
Rebecca Chipman and James Gerard both entered their poems into the Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition. The Essay Competition offers young people the opportunity to make their voice heard on a global platform and engage with issues important to them. This year's theme that inspired Rebecca and James to enter was "I am the Future". Rebecca's poem is titled, "Proclamation" and James' poem is titled, "We Craft Our Own Future".
Madeleine Khan was the valedictorian for the 2015 ES Prize Day.
Her speech reflected on her years at Sacred Heart School,
the experiences of Grade 6 and the
memories that she shared with her classmates. A truly inspiring speech!
