DAY 2:
DAY 2:
Well, it was quite a day! Our team were super troopers today;
they would be hard pressed to get a more miserable day. It was as wet as you
can imagine and the temperature didn't help. That said, when other schools
packed it in, we were there!
Regardless of the weather, we managed some impressive results. Highlights are as follows:
- 4 of the 6 relay teams qualified for Regionals (Jr Boys and Int Boys 4 x 400 and the Senior Boys 4 x 100 and 4 x 400). The Senior Boys 4 x 100 beat the school record.
Kurt Donovan beat 30-some junior boys in his first ever discus event, winning overall with a school record throw of 22.50 m
David MacDonald impressed again with a school record and qualifying in the Senior Boys 200 m

Ian
Inglis qualified for the Intermediate boys discus with another school record.
Kyle Smith and Finn Eichhorn held off very large fields to qualify in the 800 m and Mark Biddulph qualified for the seniors beating his own school record.
David Sapp and Mark Biddulph ran through the heaviest of rains to qualify in the 3000m.
We had so many very very close placings as well (Robert Sapp and Arshan Keyghobadi missed Regionals by one spot in two different events each, for example!). We couldn't be more proud of the boys.
Overall we had 22 people/teams advance and 15 school records were set/broken!
