Xiule Fan is Clearly in His Element
Recent Fountain Academy graduate, Xiule Fan, wrote
the Chem News Exam, sponsored by the
University of Waterloo, in May of his Grade 12 year. Through the Chem 13 News magazine we received
confirmation that he placed 137th in the world. To give you some sense of his
accomplishment, 2,203 students wrote the prestigious exam worldwide. 1,833 students wrote the exam in Canada and
Fan placed 56th in that auspicious group placing him within the top
3% in the country. Congratulations to
him and to his Chemistry teacher, Bill Druker.
This is a significant accomplishment.
