What is DELF? Sacred Heart High School Students Write French-Language Exam

This week 11 Grade 12 students from Sacred Heart High School are busy writing the DELF Exam  (Diplôme d'études en langue françaiseas well as being evaluated on their oral proficiency.

The DELF is the official French-language diploma awarded by France's Ministry of National Education.  It is administered locally by l'Alliance Française.  It is recognized around the world and is valid for life.  The DELF is recognized in 165 countries and is offered by 965 accredited centres throughout the world, including 19 in Canada.  As an official certification of second-language proficiency, the DELF tests the ability of students to use French in real-life situations.

Congratulations to the 11 girls who have taken on the DELF challenge this week and many thanks to l'Alliance Française for making this opportunity possible for our students. Results will be made available to our students in June.

Bon courage les filles!

Three of our boys from Fountain Academy will be writing the DELF exam on April 28 & 29.  Good luck, gentlemen
