Susana Somerton, Grade 6, participated in the Nova Scotia Junior Provincial Swimming Championships held Feb. 7-9 in Truro. She swam in 6 individual events and 2 relay races with her teammates from the Dartmouth Crusaders. In relay events, she placed 2nd in the Girls 12 & under 200 Medley relay race, and 3rd in the Girls 12 & under 200 Free relay race. In the individual events, she placed 3rd in the Girls 12 & under 200 IM, 5th in the Girls 12 & under 50m Breaststroke, 6th in the Girls 12 & under 200m Backstroke, and 7th in the Girls 12 & under 50M Backstroke. In addition, she accomplished one of her personal goals for the meet by obtaining the East Coast qualifying time for 200 IM for Girls 12 & under.
