Sacred Heart School of Halifax student, Sarah Polley, is 14-years old and swims for the Halifax Trojan Aquatic Club, and at the Canadian swimming championships in Montreal she placed 2nd in the 200m backstroke, and 4th in the 100m freestyle event. Over 1,000 swimmers competed, 22 from Nova Scotia. Sarah Polley is one of only two Nova Scotians in the top 5 at this championship event. Sarah Polley and three others teamed up to set a new Provincial record for the 14-and-under 4x200 freestyle relay.
