Reflection on Exchange to Ireland

Sacred Heart School of Halifax is part of an international network of schools. Our high school students have the opportunity to go on exchange to another Sacred Heart school around the world and are hosted by families. Below is a reflection of one of our Grade 11 students, Alexandra, who went to the Sacred Heart School in Dublin, Ireland on exchange in March. If you want to learn more about our incredible opportunities for your son or daughter, please contact Charlotte Riley for the girls' high school at criley@shsh.ca or Monica Rojo at mrojo@shsh.ca for the boys' high school.

"Mount Anville has been nothing short of amazing! It's quite a large school so there is always a lot going on which keeps it interesting. The girls and teachers have been very welcoming and are interested to hear about life in "America".

My host family has been very hospitable and I am getting along well with Aoibhin. Also, I am beginning to pick up some Irish lingo and wouldn't be surprised if I came home with an Irish accent.

The plan for tomorrow involves sightseeing on the Viking Splash (their equivalent to the Harbour Hopper) and looking around Newgrange. I have really enjoyed the city so far and am looking forward to the next week.

Once again thank you (to our Sacred Heart coorindator) so much for all your hard work in this process and for making this experience possible!"
