Sacred Heart School
of Halifax is pleased to say that Haroon Akram-Lodhi will be speaking today to both
high schools. Haroon is a professor at
Trent University (International Development Studies) where he teaches agrarian
political economy. He is a very
compelling speaker.
He is in Halifax to
launch his newly released book, Hungry For Change: Farmers, Food Justice and the Agrarian
Question, at Saint Mary's University. The book uses a story-telling approach to help
the reader understand the basis of the current global food crisis.
