Big Sisters / Little Sisters

Big Sisters / Little Sisters is a mentoring program that matches each Grade 7 girl with a Grade 12 girl.  We meet as a large group a few times a year and several other informal meetings take place in smaller groups.  Our conversations include many helpful tips about studying and school life in general.  The Grade 12s are excellent role models for the younger students and they provide lots of encouragement and reassurance.

Senior Soccer Girls Win ACIS Tournament!

Sacred Heart High School and Fountain Academy of the Sacred Heart took part in the annual ACIS Super Tournament last week and on the weekend at Rothesay-Netherwood in New Brunswick.  Armbrae Academy, Halifax Grammar School, King’s-Edgehill, Sacred Heart High School, Fountain Academy and Rothesay-Netherwood took part but not all schools were represented in each sport and each division.

A highlight was a "friendly" were the junior girls soccer players were mixed on 2 teams and scrimmaged. They were happy to get to know their team mates who were from the other schools.

Our Senior soccer girls won the tournament winning in the finals 2-1 over Halifax Grammar School. Emma Simpson scored both goals.
